Rep. David Moore (R) wants women to stop deciding what they should wear and allow him to pick for them. Moore tried to pass a bill banning Montanans from public nudity and the wearing of "any device, costume, or covering that gives the appearance of or simulates the genitals, pubic hair, anus region, or pubic hair region or exposes any device worn as a cover over the nipple or areola of the female breast that simulates and gives the realistic appearance of a nipple or areola while in a public place." According to David Moore tight beige pants are included considering to him "yoga pants should be illegal in public anyway."
That statement is terrible seeing he's a Republican, Moore should be apposed to a "big government" that bans things like clothing however, he's in full support of banning clothing. The hypocrisy is strong. Of course Moore back peddled away from this one once everyone pointed how completely idiotic his attempt to pass this bill was.
However there was a slim amount of good that would have came out of this bill. House Bill 365 would have decreased the punishment of those who were charged with public indecency. As it stands now the third time offence results in life in prison and a penalty of $10,000. In the bill the punishments are reduced to no more than 5 years in prison and a max fine of $5,000. These are good changes until you think about them. Adding beige colored yoga pants to the list of indecent behavior many more women would be sentenced and fined as they went to and from school, yoga class, and basically anywhere women go. I'm in complete favor of changing the prison sentence and the fine amount however the bad out ways the good on this bill one hundred percent.
